Neotraditional tattoo process
Hello, I wanted to share the process of this custom neotraditional tattoo from start to finish and all healed up. This was a custom project on a long time client and I had pretty much total freedom with the design so I had a lot of fun with it and I was very excited that my client loved it!
In the first session (first photo) we only got to do all line work which took us about 3.5 hrs or so, followed by another 3 hr session (second photo) after about 3 weeks for all the black shading and some color. We finished the piece on one last third 3 hrs tattoo session after another 3 weeks to finish all the color and tie everything up (third photo). The last photo shows the tattoo fully healed for about 1.5 months.
We chose to do short sessions due to our availability and the size of the tattoo (about 5x12 inches). I hope you enjoy this little glimpse into my tattoo process and if you like this neotraditional tattooing style I would be really happy to work with you and help you with similar tattoo ideas.
